Dispite having been forgotten in the turmoil of the ongoing war, 'Fool's salt' quarry has recently come back to the attention of the apposing forces.
The quarry itself, with its export of red rocks and white clay, is of little interest these days. The quarry mechanisms and some of the surrounding infrastructure use to be powered by a geothermal generator plant, making it a unique site on the planet. Although this in itself could pique the interest of those who would like to harness such available power, the plant is of little use now after suffering damage in the initial conflict and being neglected ever since.
The really reason for the renewed interest in the area is unearthed documents that have been circulating around. Said documents state that just before the start of the hostilities, a work force of ogryns had been sent to the quarry to improve output and assist the current workforce. Although the numbers are possibly inaccurate, the ogyrn's numbers are estimated to be around fifty and were to be housed in the abandoned tunnels until proper lodging could be contradicted.
There are no further records of this workforce and with both hostilities breaking out shortly after time documents date and the simple nature of ogryns, it has been deemed likely that the ogyrns may well be still at the quarry. Any of the waring factions could, at the very least, enlist such muscle in the many work efforts necessary in the struggle for the planet.
Unfortunately only limited resources, if any, can be allocated for a task which has the possibility of being a fruitless mission.
