Name: Rix Dakker
Gender: Male
Species: Genestealer Hybrid (3rd Generation)
Age: 25
Height: 5’11”
Weight: 130lbs
Allegiance: GSC, Cult of the God Planet
Rank/Occupation: Bartender, Genestealer Cultist
Notes: In another life he may or may not have sent a bumbling idiot to the wrong planet. *Cough*
Born: Haven’s Garden
Languages Spoken: Low Gothic, Cult of the God Planet Cant, like many hybrids, can understand when a purebred or Primarch speaks but does not speak their language.
Appearance: Pale, bald with slight wrinkled brow. No Hair on his body whatsoever. Looks mostly human if not a little thin and sickly. Usually dresses in a nice white button up shirt with black pants and vest with a bow tie tied ribbon/western style when working the bar. When casual he usually wears dark collared tunics and trousers with a jacket. He’ll cover up his bald head with a bandana to reduce chances of being noticed as a hybrid. He’s never seen without his teashade style sunglasses which have a slight red tint.
History: Not much is known about this mysterious Barkeep known as Dakker. He never speaks about himself and is more inclined to listen than talk. Many believe he is an ousted noble who hides his identity by shaving his hair and eyebrows off and always wearing sunglasses. Some think he’s a former ganger in hiding because there’s a bounty on his head.
None would think of the truth. That his eerie, almost xenos look is…natural.
Dakker was born a Hybrid Genestealer in the late third generation. His appearance is very close to human, he could be mistaken for a fourth generation hybrid though he’s not. As such it was quickly decided he would be wasted hiding in the mines or sewers as a worker and instead should help out in the more visual areas.
As such Dakker perfected his skills in ways most other cultists do not. Spinning signs, running shops or stands, but his true talent is listening. Eventually he trained to become a bartender, being able to both serve a more laid back atmosphere or a fancy, showboating style of party. He started off in the lower ends, serving miners and the dregs of society, but as his talent grew he expanded outwards serving the PDF and eventually being hired to serve some of the higher class bars and canteens when they needed the extra workers.
Like many hybrids, Dakker knows who his parents are but feels more raised by the cult than any one set of parents, though he often visits them.
When Chaos hit the planet, Dakker retreated back to Gilt Edge, to serve the pub there, venturing out to serve at other bars only when it would benefit the Cult of the God Planet. He also now carries a sawed off shotgun, just in case.
Personality: Cool and quiet, Dakker rarely speaks about himself, preferring to listen to others talk. He listens to stories and rumors looking for down and out citizens or soldiers who need guidance of the Father or weaknesses that might be exploited for the Cult. Despite his loyalty to the cult, Dakker has developed a fascination for the Imperial way of life. Occasionally he brings home strange trinkets and devices left behind at the bar that ordinary humans find interesting or important. As a hybrid he often mistakes the true purpose or importance but by talking to the humans in the Cult he’s slowly learning.
He’s also bad at card games but his poker face is amazing.
Equipment:
Satchel to carry his belongings, sawed off shotgun with a homemade sling, spare ammunition, combat knife he may have liberated from a drunk PDF Trooper, very important do-not-touch sunglasses that he always wears, change of clothes for when he’s working/not working, broken pocket chrono that was left behind at the bar, dataslate for notes, powder for putting people to sleep that can be mixed in drinks or thrown in peoples face for emergencies, a cult icon hidden in a small package with the aquila on it, plus whatever ever monies he’s made from working.
Characteristics:
High Concept: Everyone Talks to the Barkeep - At some point in time, anyone who visits the bar talks to the bartender. Dakker uses this to his full advantage, regardless if it’s for the cult or himself.
Trouble: Hybrid Hustle - Dakker is playing a dangerous game interacting with humans and might be in over his head.
Aspect: Hello regular human voice - Dakker has a fascination with human culture, but as a hybrid cannot fully understand it. He collects trinkets and toys and bobbles to try and figure out their purpose.
Stunts:
Brood Brothers - Because Dakker is part of the Cult of the Planet God, he can use his cult connections to find help once per session.
Tricks of the Trade - Because Dakker is an excellent Bartrender, he gets a +2 to Flashy rolls when mixing drinks to impress people.
Xenos Tongue - Because Dakker uses his position as a spy, he gets a +2 to sneaky rolls when trying to get information out of someone.
