The Haven system timeline is as follows. With the arrival of the Cicatrix Maledictum, cohesive timekeeping has been abandoned for in system use and replaced by a new date system as indicated below.
Haven Cicatrix Maledictum (HCM), time for Haven system since Rift.
_._ (Blank before the dot means years since, blank after the dot represents the day.)
So a standard timeline entry looks like so. “2.3 post HCM.M42”

The Haven system now uses the calendar for Haven's Garden as a basis for the entire system. Haven's Garden has a 300 day year, separated into 10 even "months".
0.0 Post HCM.M42: Cicatrix Maledictum forms, surrounding the Haven System in a warpstorm of unprecedented strength. Crusade Fleet Firestorm is trapped at Laramie’s Hope with ten regiments of Maccabian Janissaries and a preceptory of Sororitas from the Order of the Argent Shroud.
0.50 Post HCM.M42: The forces of Chaos make their first major offensive upon Laramie’s Hope in the Battle of Martyr’s Hold; where a force of Khornate Berserkers emerged from several warp portals and charged the Imperial held wall. Through much bloodshed and determination, the Sororitas and Janissaries hold out against the tide. Many regiments of Janissaries were destroyed.
0.55 Post HCM.M42: Mass sabotage destroys a few ships and several space elevators within the shipyards of Anchorus as a Chaos fleet emerges from the Warp, setting off the Space Battle for Anchorus. At this time contact with the mining stations orbiting Saint’s Gate is lost as transmissions are cut or jammed.
0.76 Post HCM.M42: The Space Marine Chapter Angels of Absolution, under orders from Grand Master Azrael, break through the Warpstorm with the hope of recovering the lost Crusade Fleet to reinforce the Dark Angels and other Unforgiven forces. Seeing the situation, the Marines assist in the defense of Anchorus. Chaos fleet retreats into the Asteroid belt as Astartes fighters pursue scoring several kills, effectively ending the conflict.
0.77 Post HCM.M42: Standard security sweep upon Haven’s Garden reveals multiple significant mutations amongst outlying PDF garrisons. Magos Biologis confirm mutations are in line with those found in Genestealer cults. Immediate purges of outlying PDF garrisons results in almost universal annihilation of suspected mutants.
0.93 Post HCM.M42: Rumblings of discontent spread amongst PDF forces on Haven’s Garden after the violent purges of outlying Garrisons. Many garrison commanders question the need of such universal annihilation. Several high profile executions follow as the Planetary Governor attempts to retain control of the situation.
0.101 Post HCM.M42: Seemingly all at once many PDF regiments go into armed rebellion as brother fights brother in an event known as The Abandonment. Cities are captured overnight as loyalist PDF either try to hold their ground or abandon their posts in retreat. The Imperial Guard, mainly stationed at the capital of Harvest, weather the storm as they hold their ground and open fire on anyone that isn’t sharing a uniform. The Planetary Governor, fearing for his life, takes the opportunity to flee in the chaos.
0.102 Post HCM.M42: Mass fleeing of the capital occurs as nobles attempt to escape in private void craft or chartered transport with merchants in the event known as the Coward’s Dash. Ordered to prevent it by the local Deacon, the Imperial Guard and Navy shoot down many while others are killed attempting to jump into the Warpstorm. Survivors are unknown among those who made the jump. As people flee the Imperial Guard take the opportunity to secure their hold on the capital.
0.102 Post HCM.M42: Several units of supposedly loyal PDF forces abscond into the night with their equipment and supplies, heading for the edge of the agricultural and mining zones on the planet. In the confusion of The Abandonment, it is uncertain of their final location or even total force disposition.
0.103 Post HCM.M42: This starts the time known as the Rages where no one knew who was friend or foe, going outside was a death sentence, and the city of Harvest was locked down by Imperial forces. To Major Farkis’s credit he does not lose a man while taking control of the city defenses and population or during its defense against traitor forces.
0.253 Post HCM.M42: The 87th Mordian Iron Guard arrive and push outward from Harvest to retake surrounding regions and secure a frontline for Imperial forces in what became known as the Mordian’s Grand March, suffering horrendous losses. Operations begin to turn the capital into the central base for all operations across Haven’s Garden.
0.255 Post HCM.M42: The Anchorus 3rd Macroclade lead by Magos Domina Kelvaila Sigma-72 arrives in Harvest to secure their holdings across Haven’s Garden and support Imperium operations. Rear Admiral Zaphir arrives later that day to take command of the bombing and air campaign as well as inspect the berths for what size ships he must use to take delivery of food supplies and bring in supplies as well.
0.256 Post HCM.M42 Disgusted by the reports of mass defections and seeing this as a crisis of faith, a large Mission of Adepta Sororitas from Laramie’s Hope is sent to Haven’s Garden to defend the faithful and purge the heretic.
0.260 Post HCM.M42: Due to intelligence efforts, it’s discovered that Chaos is on the planet as various groups organize and make themselves known. The most prominent, or at least the most common group assailing Harvest, are known as the Reclaimers who are stationed in the city of Progress.
0.262 Post HCM.M42: Portions of the 787th Armageddon Steel Legion arrive on the planet, three companies under the command of Colonel Quentin Everly. While Major Farkis is decorated for his heroism and beloved by the Guard for securing barracks for other regiments in the homes of many noble families and his forces taking the brunt of defensive and policing action, other commanders believed he is not suited for the task of logistics that will be based out of Harvest. Being the most senior officer, Colonel Everly is given command of overall Guard forces in Harvest.
0.275 Post HCM.M42: Engagements go well and Imperial forces gain ground, securing towns and villages. Though most major cities are beyond their hope of capture, progress is steady as rebel forces surrender to avoid being lumped in with Chaos, desert their posts to avoid death, or fall back to concentrate on a single point. A major rebel stronghold is the city of Plenty, which prepares for coming siege by the outnumbering Imperial Forces.
0.275 Post HCM.M42: Chaos space fleets begin raiding in increasing frequency, forcing Imperium naval forces to spread thin to protect supply lines. Many suspect it’s the harbinger of a larger offensive. Anchorus rushes repairs and production as they brace for the inevitable.
0.280 Post HCM.M42: The Tau forces crashland across the planet. The main force locate and offer their support to the beleaguered city of Plenty who desperately accept. Their combined power forces the Guard to give up on plans to take the city before the New Year. The Tau begin to convert their new allies to their own way of thinking as they realize how lost they are.
0.300 Post HCM.M42: Imperial forces now have a foothold on every continent and are slowly making progress but enemy forces have become more organized. Once grateful townsfolk now fear the Guardsmen. The Guard now plan to make a large push to capture Plenty and Progress in a massive air, void, and ground campaign to completely secure the major population centers of the central continent.
1.0 Post HCM.M42: On the anniversary of the appearance of the Warpstorm that surrounds the system mass sabotage goes off all at once across the planet, crippling supply lines, wrecking vehicles, and cutting off communications. Bombs go off inside Harvest. A mass Chaos offensive pushes back against the Imperial forces with new gear and bolstered numbers. The Imperium loses much ground and the forces at Plenty find themselves fighting a three-way battle. This attack has become known as the Anniversary Blackout.
1.5 Post HCM.M42: The Guard forces fall back and secure their positions across the planet. Much of the ground around Plenty and Progress is lost. However, much of the civilian population survives and moves closer to Harvest for protection. Harvest itself becomes the main posting for forces rotated off of active duty. It is also now the only operational airbase and voidcraft facility.
1.6 Post HCM.M42: The Imperium, bellagured but not beaten, resume their campaign but now specifically focus on controlling and guarding villages so they can produce food supplies. The goal shifts to a long term war of attrition fought through maintaining supplies, rather than a quick and dirty conflict over the planet.
1.25 Post HCM.M42: The first messages from the mining stations around Saint’s Gate are received in over a year, pleading for reinforcements as Chaos has taken control of many of them.
1.30 Post HCM.M42: Aircraft make critical strikes and once again secure territory further out from Harvest, allowing for long range batteries and forces to be deployed in an outer ring to watch the main roads. Large populations of refugees from beyond the walls move in to look for places to work; however, much heavier vetting and strict kill policies against civilian and PDF caught performing illegal actions are put in place to prevent future bombings.
1.80 Post HCM.M42: A new force arrives from the Warpstorms in the form of Fleet Inceptor that hails the coming of the Indominus Crusade. A bulk of the fleet is made up of the Tallarn 165th Armored and smaller Guard regiments along with Imperial Navy ships. They swiftly take action as the Tallarn take the offensive to take ground on other continents and the new Navy ships, supported by Anchorus troops, make a push to secure the mining stations around Saint’s Gate. The fleet brings news of the events that have happened in the greater Imperium, such as the Great Rift that has sundered the Imperium, the rise of the legendary Primarch Roboute Guilliman, and the reinforcements in the form of Primaris Space Marines.
1.101 Post HCM.M42: Several Tallarn tanks, including the mighty Baneblade Sword of Banishment, find themselves out of commission all on the same day. Sabotage is deemed the most likely source of the sudden disrepair.
1.106 Post HCM.M42: Imperium forces have regained most of their lost ground on the other continents. Chaos forces refuse any large confrontations, while Tau forces hold mostly defensive positions, focusing on recruitment and propaganda to increase their numbers. No major engagements occur any longer around Harvest and no forces attempt assaults on outlying villages in real numbers. Yet the focus on retaking other parts of the planet first means that everyone here is trapped in a holding pattern for the foreseeable future.
1.147 Post HCM.M42: Sparse sightings of Aeldari are reported across Haven’s Garden. These are of dubious substance, but have made their way into the ears of Imperial Command.
1.200 Post HCM.M42: Imperial Navy and Anchorus space forces have retaken fully half of the mining stations around Saint’s Gate, but further progress has stalled. Much needed supplies are sent back to the shipyards under heavy escort.
1.300 Post HCM.M42: Harvest is now the official rest and relaxation base on the planet, wounded are sent here in droves, vehicles repaired in massive depots, and more. While enemy forces move around and harass them, no battles or even true engagements are had on any large scale. The entire population dreads the next day as for the past three years terrible fortune has come at the beginning of each new year.
2.00 Post HCM.M42: History repeats itself as Chaos surges again on the anniversary of the Warpstorm. The Tau find many of their propaganda centers and barracks bombed as the forces of Chaos surge against the city. It was only the timely arrival of an overeager Imperial force who sought to take the city too that the Tau were able to hold out as the two mortal enemies whittled against each other at their gates. While the Imperium was better prepared, they were not unscathed as supply depots beyond Harvest found themselves empty, comms arrays were cut off, and ground was forcefully ceded. While there were no bombings, several Chaos sigils appeared on significant Imperium monuments and buildings in Harvest.
2.25 Post HCM.M42: Operation Reconnaissance in Force occurs.
2.40 Post HCM.M42: Present Day. Imperial Forces are yet again looking to push as Harvest’s ruling council, now backed by a Space Marine Interrogator Chaplain, plans to try and root out the source of this Chaos problem.
