Reconnaissance In Force (OOC for plot thread)

Hello all, as we have gotten some interest and writers onboard we decided that now is a good time to kick off what might be considered a large admin-orchestrated plot thread.
The Title, as you might have guessed . . . is . . . *drumrolls*
Reconnaissance In Force
Basic premise: Guard forces have become aware of a black market operating close to Harvest, normally this would not rate high priority, but unconfirmed sightings of T'au heavy weaponry appearing at the market have piqued concern amongst the command staff. A reconnaissance has been deemed necessary to determine the breadth of the T'au weaponry present. The Navy has specified if the threat of the weapons is great enough, they are willing to risk a ship moving out of the defensive orbital cordon to initiate a lance strike of the site.
If you would like to participate, please post below. After a brief waiting period we'll get the thread started in the appropriate sub-board.
All Imperium and Imperium aligned characters are welcome. If you are interested in filling a specific role in the Reconnaissance force, check below to see if there's anything available!
As a general rule, the overall composition of the Force will be as follows:
1-2 Leman Russ armored units.
1-4 Cargo-8 Trucks (for infantry and supply transport)
1-3 APC's/light armored vehicles
1-3 Platoons of Guard Infantry/support personnel
1 Mechanicus Ad-hoc cohort as emergency reserve.
Specialist positions Open: (Note of course there is always room for more characters. But these specific roles in the thread are going to be given out on a first come, first serve basis. If there's a great deal of interest in a role, we might consider expanding it to accommodate more writers, but will be cautious about this so as to not overburden anyone)
- Mission Commander: Officer recommended (If no one is interested in this role, either an admin controlled NPC or PC will take up this mantle)
- Leman Russ Support: 1 slot available (Either a character with their own Leman Russ, or if no one wants to control the entire vehicle, several PC's could crew a plot-provided vehicle)
- Navy Liaison: (A character sent as a Liaison from the Navy to observe the operation)
